The addition of our Leica¨ ADS40 digital imaging system and our Leica¨ ALS40 LiDAR system to our suite of aerial sensors and processing components, strengthens our commitment to provide our clients with the most advanced digital imagery capabilities in the industry.

LEICA ADS40 DIGITAL CAMERA
The ADS40 is an all-digital aerial sensor that requires no chemical film processing or scanning. Our aerial system specialists simply collect aerial imagery and return from a flight mission ready to process and archive the digital data. The ADS40 digital camera's innovative three-line scanner principle (capturing imagery looking forwards, backwards and downwards from an aircraft) provides wide area coverage and, aided by four multispectral lines, simultaneously captures multispectral data.

ISTARŞ AMERICAS MAPPING PROCESS
With our commitment to provide our clients with the most advanced digital imaging capabilities in the industry, Horizons has adopted the ISTARŞ Americas unique mapping process that rapidly generates from airborne digital imagery a robust digital surface model (DSM), and orthorectified images of the ground and features ("true ortho images"). The high resolution and metric accuracy of these digital orthophotos makes them an ideal geographic information system (GIS) base map, especially in highly urbanized areas where the ISTARŞ process eliminates building lean and allows for precise 2D and 3D feature extraction, line of site analysis, and emergency response.

Which Data Formats and Software are Compatible with the Camera's Output?

• Camera output is in 2 GB TIFF uncompressed or non-standard JPEG compressed strips
• GPRO is required to download the data from the camera
• GPRO, Socet Set or ISTARŞ can display the JPEG
• Compressed or uncompressed image capture
• Data can be reformatted to be compatible with any software

TrueOrthoŞ images solve the problems encountered in traditional orthophotography: every pixel in a TrueOrthoŞ is perfectly rectified, there are no distortions or leaning buildings, and there are no hidden areas. Vector extraction from heads-up digitizing is now possible.
