ACQUISITION PLATFORMS
Horizons’ flight operations staff, has over 200 years of combined experience planning and managing the successful completion of
thousands of photo acquisition missions throughout the continental United States. Horizons aerial acquisition platforms range
in altitude from 1,000-ft. above mean terrain (AMT) to 36,000-ft. AMT.
Horizons owns and operates six (6) Cessna aircraft for aerial photography and LiDAR acquisition. Each aircraft is
equipped with a custom combination of the latest in onboard GPS receivers and control data collectors, IMU (Inertial
Measurement Unit), Airborne GPS (Global Positioning Satellite), IGI-CCNS-4 (Computer Controlled Navigation System),
Zeiss Gyro stabilized camera mounts, and FMC (Forward Motion Compensation) equipped cameras.
Horizons is equipped with six (6) precision, distortion-free Zeiss 6-inch focal length aerial cameras; one (1) Leica ADS40/SH52
digital sensor and one (1) ALS50-II 2nd generation LiDAR system to handle virtually any size project.
